Here is one chart view for GDX.

I chose the March bottom and July top for the support zone. Uptrend lines from July and August.
Right now I am more interested in them than the downtrend line of 25.58 through 23.99.
I found it interesting that the trendline from August 22.025 actually would extend right to May 20.89 cutting off those 2 days of the July bottom.
