The body is full of feedback loops. What you are proposing is one such.

As 2-73 is concerned, it looks to me to be a general approach to improving the cellular energy to protein folding/creation process in neurons. This process can be degraded by aging, genetics, disease.

So, to me, it follows that each of those causes has different outcomes in which proteins are not functioning optimally. Hence there are different diseases caused by the disfunctioning connection.

This is a rather simplistic view of what is going on.

Remember that each disease is a chain of events. 2-73 and its effects may not even be part of the disease chain to start with. If 2-73 and its effects are part of the disease chain it may be down stream events that are the critical events in that specific disease and improving the upstream circumstances may not have a significant effect on the overall outcome.

The other side of this argument is that the poor connection between the ER and the mitochondria may be the initiating event in a disease chain and by fixing that connection the entire chain is broken.

When there are multiple feedback loops operating in a system things get very complicated very quickly.

I welcome comments on the above pontificating.
