A question for you. I've been trading pennies for several years and although I should know the answer by now, I don't.

The ask has been slapped since the open in the .163 area. The bid was .161 at one point and no one was selling into it. Instead of the bidder raising the bid, (if the bidder really wanted shares), the bid dropped to .160

No one sold into the .160, so why would the bid drop to .1575 -- if the bidder wanted shares?

I am not a believer in MM manipulation as their job is to execute buys and sells -- but when I see curious trading activity like this, I wonder.

I mean it's just common sense >> If I want shares, and I am sitting on the bid at .160 and no one is selling to me, I certainly wouldn't lower my bid to .1575. I would raise the bid higher than .160

Do you have an opinion to help me resolve this? TIA.
