I appreciate and respect Crispy’s summary. There was no need for him to share the information that he gained from his self financed trip to the open house. Thank you very much to him and those attendees who also plan to share their observations and thoughts.
Having said that, people have to accept that the OH was not the BIG event that many had predicted. Consequently, it follows that the pre-event hype was incorrect and the credibility associated with that kind of communication is again damaged. Hopefully this will serve to keep the conversation grounded to the expertise of those who know what they are talking about (and that leaves me out of the ongoing discussions).
I am sure that this episode will be replaced with a new batch of HOPEFUL rumors, and, more after that, until LI either folds or sells. I can’t believe he will risk his own $64M and will work as hard as he can to be successful … that is something at least to hang onto while everything else in the near term seems to disappoint. Note that even the open communication type world that we inhabit we do not know if there are any paying customers. Without that knowledge we can only conclude that this company is not now and may never be profitable.That is the current reality, like it or not.
I was not at the open house because Ive spent all my money buying LQMT shares and I wouldn’t have understood what I was seeing or being told anyway. Nonetheless, with all humility and a lot of ignorance, I ask the following of those who did attend:
Were any or all those terrific questions that were posted here for the past few days asked and answered ?
I might have misunderstood all the shipping stuff posted last week-end but was there any evidence that the (six?) machines were making something with the stuff ?
Am I the only one who thinks it odd that there was no way to see or understand if anything has been made and sold ?
What was the purpose of the open house if they did not point out what each of the machines can produce at what cost ? It seems they made no effort to sell the capabilities to anyone. Are we still at the point where their plans are something that either do not exist or cannot be revealed ?
Is it clear by what Crispy communicated that as of this moment there are no new contracts and no new revenue to be anticipated ? Was all that stuff mysteriously covered up shipments to vendors that we are not permitted to know about or were they just more prototypes being sent to companies we HOPE to contract with ?
I know I’m a negative nelly but it is hard sitting here to imagine that this event was is too much different than that hosted by CEO Steipp.
Well after all that gibberish, I guess it’s on to the next “Whoopee” date where all the new and old wishes and hopes and dreams are to be dashed still again.
And, finally, $.60c still feels a long way off my IHOP friends.
