Soft openings are completely normal and critical to successfully onboarding a new staff and new operations. I am a retail operations professional, and no that doesn't mean a cashier. I have been on half a dozen operations teams leading the openings and relocations of new and seasoned staff members. I have personally installed new POS systems. I have seen store managers have complete meltdowns on their new sales floors. I understand the hardships of opening up a new location. Most of the time things don't go according to plan. Snakes does not have an established new store opening procedure because they only have two locations. It's going to take time and money and experience for this to go smoothly. I work for a huge nationwide retail company and we still have our issues for every new opening and we still have soft openings that are limited to friends and family. If they are delayed it's because their staff is not up speed, their systems aren't working up to speed, or they are finishing up with some random issue with the fire department. It's normal. Chill people.
