The state Department of Finance and Administration Department released this evening a tally of total applications to either cultivate (95) or dispense (228) marijuana under the new medical marijuana law.
The application review has begun by the new state commission. In time, 5 permits for cultivation and 32 for dispensation are to be awarded.
Here's the county-by-county breakdown of applications by zone.
Interest in Pulaski County was highest, with 26 dispensary applications, followed by 22 in Garland County, 17 in Washington County and 12 in Crittenden (just across the river from Memphis).
