I invested here after a lot of thought and research into what Anavex potentially had and what it potentially may do to my clinical practice of Epileptology (and general neurology, but only when I'm on call). I saw the potential for a paradigm shift in how we view a whole group of neurological disorders: the neuro developmental and neurodegenerative diseases. I saw the potential for a future treatment, that targeted therapy that would stop chronic neuroinflammation can, in essence, allow the body's own healing powers to overcome disease.
People think nothing is possible when a rare few think, why isn't "it" possible? I have never read or been witness to events that cause transformational shifts in thinking (i.e. progress) led by conventional thinkers and the dearth of most peoples' abilities to think "outside the box" contributes to prolonged intellectual stagnation.
You are right in that little anecdotes adorning other anecdotes in terms of how Anavex is building up a cornucopia of evidence that it's theory is proving out to be more likely fact. One day, unexpectedly, the world will change and we all will be "a ha" once the simplicity of Anavexs approach becomes undoubtably accepted as fact and that will be the day the paradigm shift occurs, we will never look back. It will be a great day for Anavex but not such a good one for countless monied interests who have hitched their wagons to a soon to be defunct convention of thinking.
This is why Anavex is laying low, going slow and building up its defenses. The winds of change have arrived, the hurricane of progress will soon come after.
