I always wanted to keep Soriano. When he was on the Yankees, I felt he was the 2nd best Yankee and a future superstar. He was clutch in the 2001 WS winning two playoff games in the last AB.
Soriano was criticized for his fielding and poor performance in his last Yankee post season. Then along came ARod and the Yankees believed it was too good to pass up; not me. I wanted to keep Soriano.
Lucky for the Yankees that Cano came along to lessen the hurt of losing Soriano.
