Well it has to improve relative to placebo not just improve. As it turns out 3 patients had concentrations of 0 so were effective placebo. Thus it seems that 33% (1 of 3) of placebo patients improved vs. only 21%-26% (6 of 23-29) of treated patients. This is in line with their previous reports of under-performing historical placebo.

There is such widespread blind acceptance of what AVXL spews that shooting these things down is like fish in a barrel.


@Xena - reasonable assumptions are REQUIRED due to AVXL's reprehensible predilection for reporting incomplete data. They would remove all reason for assumptions if they just reported what they should. Your ire should be toward Missling. Is that sacrilege? No bolt descended as I typed.
