I used the option to buy (control) 100 shares of MU. The only difference is that I didn't have to shell out 4 grand to do it. But make no mistake about it, I was on the hook for whatever happened with MU for 100 shares (actually a little less because of delta).

I made $118 on those 100 shares. So I perfer to use 39.80 (MU price at time of option buy) as my base to calculate a profit. $118/3980= 3%.

Making 77% on an option gain means nothing to me. I understand the 3% just like I understand the 4% on the true 100 shares I own.

You are free to do your calculations however you choose, allow me the same.

MU has continued to pb nicely from where I sold at 41.38. Currently trading at 41.10.
