AMRN totally screwed up the roll out of vascepa. Insurance coverage was very sparce - physician behavior is such that they might try a new med - but once they get four or five rejections they cease using it - that is exactly what happened with vascepa - repeated rejections because of lack of prep with insurers resulted in lack of utilization - not only that once a doc writes it off as being a hassle - much more work to get them back on board
