I don't really disagree with your comment on no core. It's not very different than my "Fall in love with a stock, but keep your divorce papers handy!"

I guess Buffet would agree that his positions in Coke, etc. are not core positions since he reserves the right to sell at any time.

Spin we don't really disagree all that much. The MACD trend has been down just about all of August. I bought some back at $3.01 because I thought an instantaneous jump of .15 cents and a slow drop of 35 cents were about equally possible on Thursday morning before the open. I was afraid of good news. I still think the news flow will become comparatively continuous

in the near future. There are a lot of business people who have talked to wave in the last 15 years who liked the idea of trusted computing, but Wave couldn't support the idea....With Intel, IBM, and HP all having saleable models.....the idea will grow....slowly at first (and then more and more rapidly)

There is MORE behind the curtain than in front of it at this time. IMO. Trend lines ALWAYS tell you what the trend WAS not necessarily what it will be. That's why good dots trump old candlesticks every time. (eventually)
