I agree on all points, however as far as a public company making comics and making money is not the end all be all.
If he could have established themselves as a legit publisher and provided the right terms and freedom for known creators to work with REDG properties as well as cresting new properties for the company.
This could have brought them recognition in the industry and people who love comics and they would become your biggest marketing tool.
Imagine some of Donny Cates early work being published by REDG, he hits it big and get attention from wide reader base and people would look back and pick up his early work from REDG. Just using Donny as an example as he has been on a tear recently with God Country and Redneck as well as his other recent works.
Anyway, this would have given some clout to GSL, powfolio and other ideas he may have had as people would certainly go to toys r us or where ever to get a reprint of a popular creators work from REDG. Or reading all back material on Powfolio.
Benny was shooting for the stars and thinking too big without worrying about what mattered most, becoming a legit comic publisher that could attract talent and create. At that point all it takes is one person to hit a home run and have a series optioned for TV or Movie
