SPX breaking trend,

It's not common. Other than that, I have no statistics on it.

I tend to think that early in a cycle it's a good thing and will stick, but that it likely wont stick late in a cycle.

So either today's break does not hold and there is a reversal soon; or even though it seems late in the cycle, there is considerably more upside left.

I hope for the latter but you can't deposit hope in a bank.
