So I buy the huge bag of frozen wings at Costco and have them available in the freezer for whenever we want to make them but you can buy regular fresh wings. With the ones I buy, I first put them in the broiler for a few minutes before putting them in the crock pot. Here is the reciepe:

3 lbs chicken wings (14-16)
1.5 cups bbq sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 teaspoons mustard
1.5 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Cut off and discard tips. (I suggest buying them already cut and tipless)
Place chicken on unheated rack of broiler pan. Broil 4-5 inches from heat for 10-15 minutes. Transfer them to the crock pot.
In a separate bowl combine bbq sauce, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the chicken wings in crock pot. Cover and cook for 3-4 hours on low or on high for 1.5-2 hours. (I actually cook them on high for one hour and then I change it to low for a few more hours - but you need to be home to do that_.
