This just in case you dont know.
To reset your W98 puter to prevous settings.
Restart in DOS mode
At the blinking cursor type "scanreg/restore"
enter
Four or five dates should be revealed.
use up/down keys to select a previous date
enter
Your puter settings will reset to that previous date.

I do this anytime I suspect I have been hacked.
