I assume you're talking about synthetic drugs made from chemicals, i.e. not from naturally occurring molecules (ignoring for sake of argument that EE-EPA is synthetic)? What about chemo drugs that can put cancer into remission, like the ones that have kept my Dad alive for the last 10 yrs? What about the drugs that can cure Hep C, like the "designed in the lab not nature" Sovaldi and Harvoni? What about the class of synthetic fluoroquinolone antibiotics? Those are on my "hated drug list" because of the joint/tendon damage they did to me and thousands of other people (Cipro), but they've saved countless lives as well - and it's also the preferred treatment for Anthrax. How are they not "wonder drugs"? And of course V is one as well, although it's "only" a modified version of a naturally occurring molecule, a description which covers over 2/3rds of the drugs in existence.
