Buy on the rumor (supposedly the dominant theory here) and sell on the news (quite a way off by your analogy) leaves a bit of time to more productively deploy investment assets.

Even if an increasing number of what I consider opportunities is on the short/put side I will continue on the theory that AVXL has plenty of time to show the Market where and more importantly WHEN it is proceeding before the pps is affected.
