coordinated efforts to evaluate more than one or two treatments in more than one patient type or disease within the same overall trial structure.

Is how Janet Woodcook and Lisa M. LaVange describes master protocol in this paper Master Protocols to Study Multiple Therapies, Multiple Diseases, or Both

9 pages giving good insights.

The master protocol design would need to declare all the interventions and/or deceases as well as endpoints to be met.

So I believe the answer to your question is a qualified yes. that is, as long as the single trial yields the evidence required for approval in the specific deceases and interventions studied under the master protocol.

The common denominator is a need to answer more questions more efficiently and in less time.
