I bought some Kroger (KR) at $20.30,

While I don't think you'll run into much trouble at these prices, I have to admit I've never seen the complete food chain in the predicament that it is in today and I've dealt in that industry for 47 years.

No one seems to be able to put their finger on the cause of the problem. Was it caused by excess credit, too many players, consumer finances or consumer tastes. Everyone's guessing.

I would have trouble remembering back when any of the majors showed any reasonable organic growth and I'm talking about the big boys. Nestle, Mondelez, Kraft, Kellogg's, General Mills and Campbell's have been in the crapper for way too long.
