I would like to know the basis for Rory's optimism but it appears that 90% of that falls under the "I can't talk about that" column still.. We have been given glimpses in the quality of people and a few of the companies that are showing a certain level of interest. That level is fairly unclear though still, it seems...
We have been told several things are likely to be category killers and NFUSZ will be leading the way. I have great faith in Rory's ability, but ultimately the market (not stock market) - the market of companies and people that is exposed to the technology decides whether the company wins or loses. The company doesn't get to make that final decision. For example - the drop in ORU membership from $19 to $6. That's enormous..the market made that happen. IT decides, and we await to see the ultimate outcome of that price drop. One consequence we have already been told is less commission to NFUSZ per transaction..so this is just an example of the kinds of things that will affect how all of the areas in which we have high hopes plays out.
The validation hasn't yet occurred. Validation of curiosity and interest HAS happened. But despite a number of glowing reviews over the last year it does not appear that the technology is selling itself as we might prefer or expect of a 'hot' technology. And very good salespeople at the company (including Rory) have not been able to achieve any large sales that we know of yet. This has me concerned somewhat as a lot of time has gone by. It does not appear that anybody is chomping at the bit to use our products, or we would have seen more...probably, though that could be wrong. I want to see a company step up and PAY big dollars for what we have, but it may well be that it won't work that way. It may be that the bulk of all revenues is on a commission per use basis -- which is still totally unknown to us. Hopefully it is a slow burn.
But hopefully not too right? Maybe the reality is different. Maybe we are about to blow up big time. Many things are coming. I am still hopeful and very interested to see whether the market (stocks) gets excited or not by the things that are to be announced once the seller is out (I think he has a ways to go still - 3 weeks we were told and only 1 has gone by).
I thought the video presentation a week ago was outstanding, very sincere. I just hope it is based on things that are known by the company and not known by us. Unfortunately. That is where we are at. The DD we are told to do - I'm not sure if I'm falling short in that area or not - I don't know how that is going to help us determine if the high hopes are based on what people will do or not. Any thoughts on that here?
