Correct, if you're on Medicare you cannot use the V coupon, or any drug rebate/coupon, it's banned by law - Medicare patients are the only ones in the US who must pay full boat for drugs, although copay varies by plan and state of residence.

BTW, went back and checked HDG's link to CA's Health Net Cal MediConnect Plan (Medicare-Medicaid Plan), and was flabbergasted at the low copays:

Copays are listed by tiers. Tiers are groups of drugs with the same copay.
¦ Tier 1 drugs have a low copay. They are generic drugs. The copay is from $0.00 to $3.30. This depends on your level of Medi-Cal coverage.
¦ Tier 2 drugs have a higher copay. They are brand name drugs. The copay is from $0.00 to $8.25. This depends on your level of Medi-Cal coverage.
¦ Tier 3 drugs have a $0.00 copay. They are prescription and OTC drugs that Medi-Cal covers.

Then discovered Medi-Cal is totally free - the hitch? You MUST be on Medicaid as well as Medicare - meaning you are beyond poor - not going to look for CA Medicaid qualifications, but most in most states there's a income level for a family of four modified by some % of Federal Poverty level, or for children in households earning low incomes. In my state, a single adult must earn less than $16k/yr to qualify for Medicaid, which pretty much means you're either homeless or living in a shack out in the boonies. And you can't get Medicaid and be on Medicare either, that CA plan is pretty darn unbelievable - must cost taxpayers a fortune.
