Rio would be a super partner with plenty of experience in the area plus they know all about the project. With all that cash raising this could be a total buyout. I think of all of the players RIO would be a perfect fit. I would not count out a name such as Barrick, who already has interest in the area at Donlin. For the mineral deposit that contains a lot of Gold and Copper, the name Freeport would come to mind cause that's exactly what they do. The options market is pricing in a move in Freeport. A combination of the 2 as a consortium also makes sense, since that spreads the risk a bit.

RTO knows the terrain also and the previous stake I think was just as shares. Maybe that may be an incentive to come back aboard especially if the EPA gets totally out of the picture.

Something big and historic is about to happen in my opinion. It's just like Christmas as I can't wait to get out of bed every morning to check the status and potential news.
