I have a few reflections tonight. It relates to what is next... it is conjecture, but it is based on what has been said and what has followed in publicly released documents by the company.

On August 14th, this was said deep in the 10-Q near the end... it would have been easy to over look, yet I think it may have been the most important statement made in the whole writing... "As we move forward through 2017, we expect to (i) bring in-house more specific skill sets in materials engineering and in device testing and fabrication, as well as personnel to orchestrate our various Company activities; and (ii) attract an industry partner with the synergistic capabilities necessary to help develop future products that are in various stages of design, such as a slot waveguide modulator and our integrated fiber optic polymer-based transceiver over and above device packaging competences.

Now on Aug 21st we heard this in one of the press releases: "Dr. Lebby will discuss Lightwave Logic's latest results in polymer based PIC technology, and specifically, Lightwave's advancement of its Mach-Zehnder ridge waveguide modulator designs for 25Gbps and 50Gbps using Polymer PIC platform (P2IC™) technology...The 50Gbs ridge waveguide is the company's initial foray into Datacom and Telecom and Cloud Computing markets. However, future plans will incorporate P2IC™polymers in ultra-miniaturized silicon organic hybrid devices..."

This statement above led many to believe that the company already had completed (or was really, really close to announcing the 50 Gbps) They announced it in very timely fashion this week.

Here's where I am going... Do you put something out there in a 10-Q unless you are really, really close or are already knee deep in conversations with some big companies about producing a slot waveguide modulator and/or transceiver? I think not. Do you put a partnership possibility like that on a timeline of short months unless you know where it is going? Again, I think not. That leads me to believe we have been in conversations for months with some big company(ies) about partnership ventures going forward.

I am going to say this is what's next, and we hear about it sooner than later. Even still, it has been proffered on what amounts now to a 3 month or less timeline. Once this happens, this will mark the extreme valuation that has been sought by a few that will propel this forward to never look back. I think we see this somehow in the next 30 days. Just a hunch, but it wouldn't surprise me to see it before next week's conference even. Whenever this happens, it is game over for those who are short, no matter what they say.

What would you value this company when they come out and say, "Lightwave Logic is pleased to announce a joint venture with IBM to make the next generation of transceivers for big data that will be faster, cheaper, greener..."?

I think that day is close, closer than we all might imagine. I really didn't expect the announcement yesterday (neither did the market by the way), but I am trying to learn to read Dr. Michael Lebby through the tea leaves. I can assure you, I am not the only one trying to learn to read him. As I listened to the ASM again today, Dr. Lebby responded to a question saying "there about 20 companies that can do this (packaging) in their sleep ... and they will know when we are getting close to accomplishing (in terms of technological advancement) what is needed to jump in."

I also found it amazing that Dr. Michael Lebby, our CEO hadn't heard of Lightwave Logic until 2015 sometime (after being introduced by Fred Leonberger).

I believe we are knee deep in partnership talks right now. It all fits..
