I hope that I am wrong. The only problem I see is that Apple has already stated that they used copper and steal reinforcements. Liquidmetal coatings may be a possibility, as Apple did not give details on how they strengthen the glass or whether it is a new form/version of Gorilla glass. If I am not mistaken, Apple did give the first round of funding to Corning, which would suggest that it is Gorilla glass and not a special liquidmetal mix. Also, LQMT is not in the coating business anymore.
