To a degree you could be right, but because it helps long remain long I think. Not so much in bringing new investors I think.

Longs are the foundation and what provides the floor with how low a share price will go, the more longs tie up the float and outstanding share count, the less shares exist to be sold elsewhere that impact the share price.

I think MMs are done bringing this down now at this floor level because longs hold most the shares. MMs being mostly computer algorithms and such too... But even shorting stops around the floor as well... Longs aren't selling, longs appreciate and know the value of the stock, longs name their price, and only the impatient or fearful longs sell at this point... No mass sell off either... No panic...

Longs see all the PR and Tweets which builds their confidence in staying put. Helps build support, a floor, a foundation, a minimum price for us to fall to in these consolidation periods, but the price doesn't really go up or react to good news because I think new investors don't see it...

So it does help minimize the retrace, the gains given back during these consolidation periods, encouraging the eventual sideways trading.

The PR and Tweets though can be read and reviewed at any time... So when new investors look at AMFE, do their DD, especially when technical indicators line up or around quarterly financial reporting periods, they can go back and look them all up and it directly impacts the bull runs and their strength and duration in between consolidation periods.

All in my opinion anyways.
