I was just about to side with you on this one, but then I noticed a second poster saying that the same thing happened to him. The important part here is that the second poster is from a different brokerage than the first. When the first one told of getting his call out of the blue to manage his funds, I just assumed that possibly there was a new sales and management policy at his brokerage, but if it is occurring with people who are with different brokerages, then that wipes that theory off the map. I'm still not convinced it's something big, but with multiple brokerages exhibiting the same behavior, you do have to give it a grain of salt.
