As a decent man, can you stop lying or listening to a liar ?
There've been numerous Quittings, most labeled as so-called "Firings".
ALL, I repeat ALL, professional people, typiclaly implying advanced college degrees &/or design or management experience - have quit.
End of story.
No If's, not But's - everyone who can find an application for their brain elsewhere, had quit over the years.
Assembler will hold on, an old woman with skillful yet manual labor skills - will hold, a woman with several kids who doesn't strive to earn b/c husband is so succesfull & she was offered (shallow as it turns out) Stock Option - may hold,
BUT an Engineer, VP Biz Development, COO, or such? - do NOT, especially after spending a decade in uncertainty & R&D STAGNATION.
The same amps from 1998 & 2001, only changed superficial details.
Ask yourself, why the Cook persists in lying about "firing" food and assigning them epithets such as "PhD's can't build anything" (that PhD quickly found a design role in California DESPITE his old age!), "W.R. did nothing but sat in his office emailing" (the man who brought Space job from Raytheaon & Boeing to Amplitech!, and for God's sake Sales does involve heavy emailing), "H.S. hates Microwaves and is lazy" (yeah lazy, waiting for da**ed parts to arrive for 2 months b/c they were not ordered/paid for, ending up being blamed for Amplitech's own fiscal discipline, or lack thereof), and so on & on.
A guy was disliked for being overweight. A woman was disliked for being assertive and her many kids that required early arrival and leaving. At payrate below school-bus driver.
I tell you why.
FEAR. Fear of admitting that everyone educated or brain-capable LEFT. For once, for the sake of the fact that we don't live forever and will answer the Judge soon - admit the truth. Cook alienatad folks... and is now on a mission to blame that food.
Heard it from so many people in the industry, you'd gasp in disbelief. Not a "one man's opinion", it's well-known.
And yet admittedly Cook is a talented Engineer.
Cook did create jobs and boostrapped both young & old workers, especially during the Great recession. Cook was a caring, sometimes extremely compassionate person, it was also a public eputation - not one man's opinion.
Cook does desereve a HUGE credit.
Then it broke.
It's just that he is trying to get a credit for imaginary milestones and blame food, that he left out of refrigerator for too long, for no achieving those imaginary milestones.
"If Amplitech received as much funding as Silicon Valley VC's gave to..." GOSH! There's a reason folks in SV get funded! It's NOT lottery!
If you understand what I mean.
And
You don't barge into your ONLY designer's office and trainwreck his design process by pushing 16-year old nonsense ideas Googled from some dusty chambers, into someone who has capability and been exposed to moern & FAR GREATER product development processes than would've been case of someone sitting at one & only one obsoleting company for the past 20 years.
I know the industry & people in it equally, if not even better now, than then Cook. Getting old is the most miserable thing in life, but it has silver lining in it - knowledge.
