They company repeatedly noted Trumps infrastructure bill as a stimulator for their MG products. But who knows if Trump can get any bill through and he definitely isn't considering infrastructure in the near-term (priorities seem to be tax, DACA, 'the wall', and health care).
But it doesn't matter because mother nature via Harvey and Irma passed there own bill that will be footed by not only the government, but also local businesses and individuals.
I would think that just the impact the lack of power is having in Florida will stimulate interest in this stock, possibly even before they report anything meaningful. This could be what is driving the recent interest.
Someone is going to see the potential of MG and the increased likelihood of more stores like these more frequently in the future and take a gamble on the MG approach. So I too believe orders will be coming in the next few months.
The UPT concept seems like a good idea. I hope to hear they will be going live in the next few months as they would reap immediate revenue renting trucks to businesses/homes in need of power that are having difficulty keeping a generator running or don't have one. When you have no power in your house for weeks, you would love to have it just for a couple of hours to get things done. So a company that rents MG units could drive around neighborhoods proving limited operations for a tidy fee and almost quickly profit enough to pay for the capital costs.
Individuals could make a small yearly fee that guarantees they get served for a couple of hours daily (or every few days) if they power goes out. It would need to be small enough fee that if no storms happens they are ok with it. The company could reserve capacity so they could charge much higher rates to individuals who do not make the small yearly payment to be locked in and request it only at the time of disaster. If the franchise was large enough they could move fleets of trucks to affected areas when disasters struck (like how the power companies send trucks from neighboring states).
I think this would have to be on a house by house basis to avoid needing to coordinate working with the utility company which will be difficult/impossible because they will want to keep their linemen safe from electrocution and the extra coordination will require more care in their lock and tag process.
