Jimmy....I almost visited you. I was in Fort Lauderdale on 9/2. I was supposed to fly out this morning. Did not trust airline and decided to get out even though they said flights were on when I went to airport on Tuesday to try to get earlier flight. They were all sold out on every airline. Some people paid 3K to get out. I got a rental car Thursday early morning and drove twelve hours to Charleston,SC. Lucky to get gas in Fort Lauderdale and was afraid to go thinking I would get stranded before Georgia without fuel. Had fun in Charleston and then drove to a town in northeast NC off the Michael Jordan Highway and slept there . Today I drove from NC over the Jim "Catfish" Hunter bridge into Virginia . Stopped at Virginia Beach for a few hours and came up through Maryland , Delaware and NJ and finally to NYC. Great vacation but tired from the crazy drive. Traffic on 95 was insane so my route through the coastal 17 North was awesome with gas being no problem . Did get to Snow Hill but it was in Maryland . I did wave on the flight down. Had both hands on the wheel of the rental car so I did not wave while in NC. Just clicked on BIEL after a week. Same crap as usual.Bedtime now. Fourteen hour day so I better sleep.
