It's another lie, of course.

Today's short interest of 141,000 shares is approximately 1/100th of 1% of the outstanding shares. A standard rounding error for any stock with market makers.

Only twice in history (once in 2016, once in 2014) has the short interest ever temporarily jumped above a million shares. Even when it hit 6 million shares for a single period, that was still less than a single day's volume.

At this point, any sane person should automatically know a MAXD press release is bogus.
