Then for the sake of sanity let's think what would happen if a 200 mil MC company declared that it cured AD in 25 patients in a year? This sounds almost absurd: small startup taking the jewel in the crown. Every time a BP PR a new trial phase2 after phase 1 showing acceptable safety and something akin to "statistically significant " improvement (lol) it's MC goes up by 30 billion on talk alone that cure is just around the corner. If indeed Dr M sold for 36 billion then he did the most rational thing. The price is right and there is additional value to be extracted by buyer as it is in his risk benefit calculation.
