You know, I have been wondering the same thing, SS. There are again rumours of making it illegal for Americans to own gold and confiscating our bullion as they did in the '30's (bullion only, not numismatics). I'm working on the problem, but no clearcut solution yet, but I am confident I'll come up with something workable.
I think it behooves one to have some means outside the country in the event it is needed at some future point. The Cubans never thought it would happen to them, and the smart ones were the ones who had already moved some of their assets outside of Cuban before the revolution. Don't think it can't happen here, it can!
