Serious question about future control of AVXL. (assuming it works)

If you step back and take an informed view of the possible scope and impact this miraculous clinical/medical platform can the competitive/commercial/market enterprise process be trusted to manage it or is it too important to turn lose? BTW, I despise big govt.
