Yep, the TPM chip is FIPS-140-2 certified... which, I think, means it was either a Broadcom or Atmel chip (if memory serves.) At least, I think those are only the two chips that have been put on the approved list.

Thanks for reinforcing the fact that the poster was just blowing hot air.

And, something like 80% of the approved cryptographic modules that are listed at, I think, NIST.gov are, indeed, hardware.
