believe that BP will allow Anavex to maintain independence

Well I don't like to try to predict the future, but I could see a white knight coming in to help protect the value to shareholders. Dr Missling et al understand the value proposition and (I predict)will step up if necessary. The company has proceeded on a very methodical approach on securing IP by taking over a company on the pink sheets, and not going the IPO route that would give competition a heads-up on their direction of research. Thus, and I kind of like this, Blindsiding the competition by coming out of left field with their work.
The company has chosen the best of the best to work with, which leads me to believe that we as shareholders are in good hands.
