I believe when the law firms picked cases to work on, they already looked into all the arguments from both sides, and knew the results of the settlements. To some people, it is gamble. To the 2 law firms, it is not.

The company I work for had a big lawsuit a few years ago, and we had a #4 law firm in USA. That law firm was so competent and powerful, won the case just as promised. The other side had no way to win although they fought a lot. So I trust law firms with big names.
