I don't like patent plays much anymore, but ANDR at these levels ... what the hell, they settled a license agreement with samsung last week and now trial is on today with apple.

"On August 16, 2017, Andrea Electronics Corporation (the “Company”) entered into a Settlement Agreement with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (together, “Samsung”)). Under the Settlement Agreement the Company settled outstanding litigation between the Company and Samsung including Andrea Electronics Corporation v. Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Samsung Electronics America, Inc., Civ. Action No. 2:16-cv-05217, pending in the Eastern District of New York and Certain Audio Processing Hardware and Software and Products Containing the Same, Inv. No. 337-TA-1026, pending at the International Trade Commission. In addition, the Company and Samsung entered into a Patent License Agreement. "

And this news

21-Aug-2017:07:00:00, Andrea Electronics Corporation's Trial Against Apple Inc. for Patent Infringement to Begin at the U.S. International Trade Commission on August 21, 2017Third-Generation, Family-Run Microphone Pioneer Sues Electronics Giant to Protect Audio Processing TechnologyAndrea Sues to Prevent Sales of iPhones Containing Patented Audio Technology in United States

BOHEMIA, N.Y., Aug. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --Andrea Electronics Corporation (OTCMKTS:ANDR) (Andrea), the pioneer of digital array microphones and noise reduction software and industry leader of digital microphone product solutions that optimize the performance of voice driven applications, is suing Apple Inc. (Apple) for patent infringement on audio processing technology found in the defendants products. The hearing at the U.S. International Trade Commission in Washington DC is set begin on August 21, 2017.

According to the filings, Apple is in violation of Section 337 of the Tariff Act by importing infringing devices into the United States. Andreas complaint specifically requests that the ITC exclude the iPhone phones and other Apple products from being imported and to issue cease and desists orders to stop the infringing activity.

"We are a proud, third-generation family business whose products are showcased in the Henry Ford Museum and the Smithsonian National Museum, and we refuse to stand by and watch a legacy built over 80 years to be torn down by electronic giants with deep pockets and global influence," said Douglas Andrea, Andrea, CEO. "We are proud that Apple, like our already existing licensees, desires the use of our technology, but we request that they license it legally. If they refuse, we ask that the ITC stop them from selling products that contain our patented technology."

According to commission filings, Apple filed motions to stop the trial from going forward, but the Administrative Law Judge denied those requests, and the evidentiary hearing will begin on Monday, August 21, 2017.
