Earlier this year, Huff put out his objectives/goals to be met for calendar year 2006. Included in those was to have a least one (1) major metropolitian city running wireless by September 30, which is just around the corner.

There are a couple factors about this goal that concerns me and wonder what other feel about this item. We have run successful pilots in Germany, Mexico, Ganha and I think China. The whole German country must be on "hold" since Jim Profit has reported that NO lincenses have been issues. Add to that the political unrest that is taking place in Mexico and that seems to close the door on that country as well. Have heard nothing from China lately and honestly have never heard anything on Ganha.

If this goal is not met - and I am not saying there will bo no wireless rollout - this will only further impact the credability and trust factor that the investment community has toward GTE. Our time is running out to prove we are for real. Who knows, maybe there will be several PR around the 28th that will be major events that will turn this puppy around and get the share price back on a northward track.

DOes anybody have thoughts on the wireless scenario that is playing out as we get closer to the Sept 30 dealine???
