I’ll Post Any New Science I Find — Little Else

Appreciate it if you would continue to scan the horizon for any credible CNS Homeostasis technical papers/other which contradict Dr. M.'s thesis, or any that reinforce the AVXL story

Thanks. I’ll continue to read whatever new papers I can find on Anavex science. So far, after several years and many technical papers, I’ve not seen a single person (with technical expertise) claim that the mechanism of actions of the Anavex sigma-1 receptor agonists don’t work or can’t fix things inside neurons (restore homeostasis).

The science, I think I can accurately state, is rather settled; at least regarding restoration of homeostasis in diseased murine (rat and mouse) neurons. No one has effectively challenged the company’s explanations of the involved biochemistry and cytology.

I’ll post anything new I find, up, down, or sideways.

But, the only really useful and applicable info will emerge from any of the three clinical trials. Those are on disease-afflicted humans, not lab rats or mice.

And, in fact, the molecularly correct explanation of exactly how Anavex 2-73 moderates or reverses disease symptoms is not crucial for FDA approval; merely that it’s a) safe (no disqualifying adverse events, side effects), and b) it’s efficacious, it actually does provide improved symptomatic relief, better than existing drugs. Many approved drugs work, successfully, with still unknown mechanisms of action.

I’ll be as eager as anyone to scrutinize new trials data when they appear. In the meantime, I’ll post any other new Anavex data I find. I doubt there will be much.
