Thus, you are left very fragile and vulnerable to infections. Just an Upper Respiratory Infection ( a cold or Flu) can cause an avalanche of health issues, including death.
Any Hospital facility that does Transplants, will need to have every room to be immaculate. This means as close to 100% bacteria and virus free as possible.
This is above and beyond the need to avoid daily, routine pathogens for patients and visitors and hospital staff.
