Tisdal you sir are SPOT ON. Very intriguing points - must have been areas of porous or shaley interest to do all these side wall core drillings. The drill has evidently been extremely active - but we all know the real oil shows are likely much deeper. The Bible says the blessings are DEEP baby...

This is the key statement.

Quote:
After running wireline logs and analyzing the data, we obtained over 20 sidewall cores from different zones within the well that spanned approximately 800 meters (~2,625 feet). The Geologic Survey of Israel is analyzing several of the cores for porosity, permeability, and other factors. After retrieving the cores, we proceeded to successfully case and cement the 13-3/8” casing string.

AFTER analyzing the data, Zion chose a specific zone within the well (a large zone at that) from which it would be a good idea to obtain core samples and have them analyzed. This is their way of saying there is an area that extends approximately 1/2 mile throughout the inside of the well where the logs are pointing us to do more extensive analysis. We therefore have pulled 20 cores and are sending them for analysis.

The Wise one is correct.
