In general, the expectations here have become so wildly unrealistic on both sides of the table.

there was absolutely nothing disappointing about last night's earning's report. There was a lot of positive news. Tons of cash at hand, assets moving into inventory, raw materials and machines. Reduction of ridiculous bonuses have saved (realistically) a very small amount of SG&A, but a sign of a better run business.

Nothing has fundamentally changed. We have a much more business oriented management team, with the same groundbreaking technology for which most of us bought this many years ago at whatever time.

The mention of 'contracts' is misleading. with the production capability and inventory (the actual end product volume has been discussed ad nauseum on this board) is going to be for any cross manufactured existing EON contracts to dial in the manufacturing process at the new plant. There may be some licensing money on the brand as well.

I personally find it extremely unrealistic to think there should be any expectation of a massive, game-changing contract assigned directly to Liquidmetal in the very near future. I believe it is coming some time down the road, but you dont take a brand new factory and take the risk of failed/overdue production. If the parent company (which is really the situation we find ourselves in) has the ability to re-assign manufacturing, you do that to make sure you can prove viability of a new, extremely cutting edge production environment. You give them small runs so at the open house the machines are doing something!

I am and have always been extremely positive about the future of this technology, I'm just saying that everything in the announcement should be exactly what everyone who follows this company should expect and you really need to temper the expectations (positive and negative)...Give it time. Everything Li is doing is textbook of hundreds of companies throughout the years with great technology, expensive consumer education and technological/cost barriers to large scale production. Give it time, stay positive. It's a slow climb and we're on the cusp of potentially positive results, but thinking we're going to see massive earnings changes before a factory is completed and vetted with a solid run or 2 is just delusional.

Stretch your time horizons out and continue to stay positive!

Just my opinions
