Your'e getting way ahead of yourself worrying about how the scanner wont be immediately adopted by all sectors of the market, or the possibility other companies will someday use similar technology in their scanners.

DTIIs scanner will be wanted and needed by a great deal of sectors. If they are able to obtain even 5% of the market, this is huge for them. If, another company someday uses similar tech, good. This will created competition to develop better and better scanners.
