Response I received from USPTO when asking for the time it takes to issue a patent...

The average time from issue fee payment to issue date is 43 days:
- Typically the patent number is assigned within 22 days after issue fee payment, once “final data capture” has been completed—that is, the verification and capture of all relevant information from the issue fee transmittal, post-allowance amendments, post-allowance information disclosure statements, etc. (The 22 days is an average.)
- It’s 21 days between the assigning of the patent number and the actual issuance. (The 21 days is a fixed processing time and is not variable. Each issue is “built” three weeks in advance of the actual issue date.)
