Lots and lots of comments at the link, but this is the lie Trumpty wants everyone to believe.

-- The Pentagon referred all questions about Trump’s announcement to the White House, but the White House referred questions back to the Pentagon and falsely suggested that the decision had been made at the behest of the military.
