In Schwab: -- Can put min qty to fill. -- In "Enter Order" -- Hit "Optional" (just below Symbol). -- Check "Minimum Quantity" -- Enter number of shares (good on first fill only). -- Then may get partials, but avoids being screwed. -- Nothing greater than 99,900 (I think).
On most all others sites: -- AON, "All or none". -- May get passed over on small fills however. -- Best so limit lot size unless millions moving.
As well as: -- FOK, "Fill or kill" -- On next trade alone, (for anyone), it will fill or kill (cancel). -- Used in special circumstances.
Lastly, seller (The ASK), may not see Min Qty, AON or FOK, but buyer will avoid being "Commissioned" and baited by seller to bid-up to fill.
