This is the classic experiment: offer a child 1 marshmallow now or 2 marshmallows in an hour.

For the average OTC penny stock gumby making a couple hundred bucks represents a huge set of opportunities for video game purchases, fast food runs, energy drinks, and neon signs for mom's basement.
