CuriousWon, Thanks. So with the Ethereum platform in place, any digital currency could theoretically be transacted on the platform? That's interesting since we know the Fed/central banks ultimately want a cashless all digital money system that can be fully tracked, taxed, etc.

Listening to Jim Rickards, it appears the plan is for the SDR/Special Drawing Rights of the IMF to eventually become the new global reserve currency to replace the dollar reserve system. International transactions and settlement will be conducted in SDRs, but he says we'll still use dollars/euros/yen as local currencies within each country.

Where something like Bitcoin fits in is the big question. As it grows it could become a big threat to the dollar and other established fiat currencies. So the powers that be might eventually seek to crush competing forms of money like Bitcoin.
