Aggravated Libel against the BCSC
July 24, 2017 - Mountainstar Gold Inc. (“the Company” or “Mountainstar”) is pleased to report that the libel action via international exhort at the Chilean courts requires the appearance of Romolo DiFonzo and Roy Leon and is tied to damages for libel to the Company’s partner, Mr. Jorge R. Lopehandia. Attached is the international exhort file ordered by the court against the two British Columbia Securities Commission (“BCSC”) officers.
It is with great dismay that Mountainstar and Mr. Lopehandia were publicly libeled by Peter J. Brady and the BCSC. On June 30, 2017, a demand letter to appear at hearing was ordered against Mountainstar and Brent Johnson personally. The content and questions were answered directly by Mountainstar’s lawyer during 2015, 2016 and 2017. The BCSC ignored Mr. Torres’ submissions and libeled him as well on June 30, 2017.
In response to the aggravated libel of the BCSC, Juan Guillermo Torres has called to trial Peter J. Brady, the author of the libel. He has also called Brenda Leong, Shawn McColm and Andrew Richardson. They have been officially added to the international exhort list in a judicial decision dated July 17, 2017, as per attachment per court files.
Mountainstar and Brent Johnson have been legally instructed not to respond to the BCSC demands. The questions asked by the BCSC are mostly contained in the libel damages that the BCSC faces in Chile. The libel victory in Chile for Mr. Lopehandia means that in Canada, Barrick libeled Jorge R. Lopehandia.
